Best Lightweight Single Stroller
Travel strollers don't get much lighter or more compact than this. Its sleek design makes it easy to fold into a neat rectangular shape and the wheels spin more easily than some other models.
It also has a large under-seat storage area as well as a shoulder carry strap that makes it easy to carry around if you're not pushing it. However, the canopy adjustment can create lots of noise which can wake a sleepy toddler.
1. Contours Itsy
The Contours Itsy is a compact stroller that offers many features for its size. Its back under-seat basket is spring loaded, meaning that you can pull it down to stuff bags for diapers or backpacks into and it will then pop up to secure the contents. It also comes with an accessory tray for children and an adjustable reclining seat back pad and a reclining seat back pad, which offer more options than what you usually get on a stroller that is light.
It also comes with a canopy that can be shut and opened to get the level of sun protection you want. The handlebars can be adjusted in height to ensure a comfortable fit in four different positions. We weren't too impressed with the quality of its ride over rough terrain. We felt the suspension and wheels didn't do a very good job of absorbing bumps and shocks.
It's a perfect stroller for traveling because it arrives in a box fully assembled, with just a few steps to get it ready to use. The seat can be moved back and forward to adjust the recline. It's quite flat. It's a cinch to fold and unfold due to two buttons on the frame. It also fits in the perfect carrying bag when it's not in use. It's actually one of the most compact strollers we tested, and it fulfills the requirements of most airlines for gate-checking and cabin storage on airplanes. 2. Kolcraft Cloud Plus
This is an excellent option for those looking for a lightweight travel stroller. It comes with all the features parents desire in a stroller, including all-terrain wheels and front suspension for a smooth ride. It's also extremely light and weighs less than 12 pounds. It also has a handy fold that is self-standing and one-hand. It even has two tray for parents and children. tray, each with two cup holders.
Its quality is not very good, and it didn't perform well in our maneuverability test. It also has a flexible frame which makes pushing it over rough terrain seem like lifting a huge weight. It is possible that you only use the stroller on paved sidewalks. However, for most people, it's not ideal.
The Cloud Plus features a three-tiered extended canopy that has a peek-aboo window for additional sun protection. Its multi-position seat accommodates children up to 50 pound and has five points of safety restraint. This is a great option for older toddlers who have outgrown their car seats for infants.
It comes with a single-step and compact folding mechanism that can be collapsed with just a touch of a button. It also has a convenient brake that is triggered by the foot and easy to adjust and release.
The handle is lower than the majority strollers we've tested, and some parents might feel uncomfortable using it for long periods of time. It does have the ability to lock the handle to keep it in place when open however. This is a fantastic feature if you intend to use the stroller on uneven or rough terrain.
3. Munchkin Sparrow
The Munchkin Sparrow is the ultimate travel stroller for parents who are on the go. The compact stroller folds down and up easily and fits into the overhead compartments of planes or trunks in amusement parks (no need to worry about parking charges). It comes with a carry bag that zips up for convenient storage. It can be used with the infant car adapter from birth and provides excellent sun protection thanks to its canopy. The only issue for some parents is that they consider the style to be dated and unfashionable.
The BabyZen Yoyo+ is a bit more expensive than the other single strollers with lightweights however it was made specifically for luxury urban and travel. It's among the smallest strollers to fold (and includes a convenient carry case) and offers plenty of storage space, including cups holder. The seat is comfortable for both the adult and child, and it reclines to a nearly flat position. This is the only stroller on our list that comes with an adapter for car seats to allow it to be used with infants. Some short parents may not like the handlebar, which does not adjust.
The UPPAbaby Minu V2 may not be the most lightweight stroller, but it comes with a number of great features to make traveling with children easier. The spacious seat reclines to a pretty flat position, and comes with extra padding that will make those naps on the plane last longer. The extendable canopy has plenty of sun-shade and the tray on the front provides plenty of storage. It also features a footrest with springs that doubles as a handle when it's folded. The footrest, however, appears to be prone to damage from baggage handlers.
4. Uppababy Mini V2
Uppababy Minu V2 is an elegant stroller with a premium design and quality. Its compact design allows it to easily navigate narrow sidewalks and tight spaces however its sturdy construction allows it to handle rough terrain without compromising comfort of your child. Front and rear spring-action suspensions create a more comfortable ride for both of you, while its robust materials ensure that it can withstand the wear and tear of everyday life without losing its shape. It can also be extended to accommodate other accessories such as an infant car seat.
In our testing during our testing, the Minu was easy to fold and maneuver, even with a baby in its hand. Its squat almost square fold which unfolds into thirds, is among the easiest in our tests and allows it to be tucked away in overhead compartments of planes or public transportation. It also comes with a single-action brake with color coded that is easy to use.
The seat comes with an adjustable recline in multiple positions and a single-handed adjustable leg rest, making it easy to find the right position for your child. The UPF 50+ hood went down quite far and was ideal for protecting Cora's eyes from sun (though not quite as low as other strollers). The medium-sized mesh peekaboo window is magnetically attached to the canopy and closes without using noisy Velcro.
The Minu weighs less than 15 pounds, and comes with an integrated handle that makes it easy for carrying. It also comes with a shoulder strap. It can be put in the trunk of your car and comes with a storage box and Uppababy TravelSafe, which extends the warranty of the manufacturer by two years and provides replacements if items are damaged during travel.
5. Joovy Aire
Joovy, an established stroller brand, produces various models. This light model is a good option for parents who want an all-purpose stroller that can carry children around, has plenty of storage, is simple to use and doesn't require a high engineering degree to fold. It's not the best choice if you want a car seat-compatible model, or a double stroller. It does not accept infant car seats. Your babies should be able to sit upright on their backs before they can use it.

It was awarded a higher score in our review of maneuverability than other models with similar specs, and it's a great option for smooth pavements. It has a large parent tray, a canopy, and plenty of storage. The handlebar is shorter than the average, and the front wheel suspension is stiffer, but it is still comfortable for adults.
If you have twins or two children who are different ages you may find a side by side stroller is the best way to transport them. Our favorite is the Joovy Twin Groove, which offers plenty of features and a small footprint that can fit where most other side-by-side alternatives can't.
It comes with reclining seats, a large canopy with an open window, and plenty of storage. It's a bit heavier than other side-bysides however it has a good weight capacity and can handle most children up to 50 pounds. It's possible to add a bassinet to front of the stroller to accommodate infants.
